How else can you explain Ronan Keating's unexpected appearance on home shopping channel QVC to hawk his latest record?
The former Boyzone star has taken to the rather naff channel in a bid to shift copies of his new album When Ronan Met Burt - a collaboration with easy-listening legend Burt Bacharach.
To be fair it's not as if Ronan had masses of street cred to begin with, but his new marketing ploy sees him following in the footsteps of cutting edge artists such as Susan Boyle and Mary Byrne - so perhaps he's targeting the much-discussed "grey pound"?
