Nicolas Cage appears to have put his money worries behind him because he splashed plenty of cash to ensure his son's wedding was a day to remember.

According to TMZ, the Oscar-winning actor spent big for Weston's marriage to Nikki Williams on April 24, paying for a private jet to fly them home from the New Orleans bash.
Not only did they travel in style but insiders say Nic also forked out for the happy couple's "four diamond" hotel suite in the city as well as buying plane tickets so that friends and family could join in the celebration.

The wedding reportedly finished in style with a fabulous fireworks display... paid for by none other than Mr Cage.

Now that's what we call a wedding present!

And it's good to hear that Nic has had a chance to forget his recent troubles.

What do you think? Is Nicolas Cage over his money troubles? Leave a comment below...

Lindsay Lohan's high-living habits combined with a lack of work have led to persistent rumours that she has gone bankrupt. She was known to have a cocaine habit and is believed to have spent $1m on a single hotel bill.

Every wondered why Nicolas Cage is in soooooo many bloody films? It's because he spends money quicker than he can earn it, with a jet, two yachts, three castles and two islands among his impulse buys. No wonder he went bust last year!

Riches to Rags

MC Hammer quickly amassed a $30m fortune after shooting to fame, but his extravagant spending on a huge mansion and racehorse stables contributed to his much-publicised financial woes once the hits dried up.

Riches to Rags

Sir Elton John didn't just enjoy dressing up as Louis XIV, he used to spend like him too - and went particularly barmy after getting off drugs in the 1990s. He famously spent nearly £300k on flowers in the space of just 20 months - during which time he burned through a total of £40m.

Riches to Rags

Former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw just managed to dodge bankruptcy after racking up debts of £200k - and admitted she had to hide from bailiffs. Fortunately for her she won Dancing On Ice and secured a role in Emmerdale.

Riches to Rags

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton must have confused himself with heiress Paris Hilton when he was at college, because he ran up debts of $50k and had to declare himself bankrupt. So you'd think he'd be a bit more sympathetic to certain broke stars.

Riches to Rags

Bez from the Happy Mondays probably doesn't get a lot of royalty cheques for his freaky dancin' - so we weren't surprised to hear he'd gone bankrupt before appearing on (and winning) Celebrity Big Brother in 2005. Unfortunately he didn't seem to get any better at managing his money and went bust again in 2008.

Riches to Rags

Kim Basinger was once the hottest female star in Hollywood and earning big bucks - which may be what made her think it was a good idea to buy a whole town in the US. She took a bath on that and then went bankrupt when a studio sued her for $8m when she pulled out of Boxing Helena.

Riches to Rags

Sharp suits and fancy HGVs don't come cheap, just ask former boxing champ Chris Eubank - who went bankrupt in 2005 owing £1.3m in unpaid taxes.
